Review
Design & Build Quality
Measuring at 6.7″ x 3.1″ x 0.7″, the RAVPower 20100 is roughly the size of a Huawei Nexus 6P. It weighs approximately 13.2 ounces.
The RAVPower 20100 has a smooth matte black finish, which does not attract fingerprints. It also feels very solid and durable.
Located at the side of the battery pack is a micro-USB port, a type-C port, and two USB ports while on top of the battery pack is the LED battery indicators, and power button.
We really love the overall design and build quality of the RAVPower 20100.
Battery Life
The RAVPower 20100 features a 20,100 mAh capacity with a type-C port, and two USB ports (a iSmart 2.4A and a QC3.0/2.0). The iSmart port allows the battery pack to “intelligently” detects the charging needs of any connected device. The battery pack then delivers an output to perfectly match the specific product, allowing for maximum efficiency with zero limitations. It also has a microUSB port, which is utilized for recharging the battery pack.
The panel of four, blue LED battery indicators allow users to quickly check the remaining battery or when the battery pack is fully charged. Each LED indicator indicates 25% charge.
Real-World Test
One advantage of having dual USB ports is to be able to charge two USB devices simultaneously.
With the RAVPower 20100 fully charged, we managed to get both our iPhone 5S and Huawei Nexus 6P at 20% fully charged in under 1 hour with at least 50% left in the battery pack, thanks to the iSmart port and the type-C port. That is pretty impressive.
When connected to a QC 3.0 wall adapter, it only took us about 4.5 hours to recharge from empty to full.
Final Thoughts
The RAVPower 20100 is possibly the first in the market to feature both the QC 3.0/2.0 USB and type-C port. With the included handy travel pouch to holding the battery while on the go, the RAVPower 20100 is definitely the one to get for power users looking for the latest QC 3.0 or type-C battery pack.
