CES 2015: Livescribe 3 Smartpen to Support Android

Since the release of Livescribe 3 Smartpen in November of 2013, the Livescribe+ app has been limited to iOS. However, starting this spring, Android users running 4.4 KitKat and 5.0 Lollipop will be able to download the Livescribe+ app to their devices.

It’s also possible to create interactive ‘pencasts’ that synchronize recorded audio with written notes, while more features are set to be introduced in later versions of the software.

“Livescribe+ for Android is much more than a port of our iOS app,” Livescribe’s VP of Marketing and E-Commerce Bryan Rodrigues said. “We’ve approached every aspect of this app, including using Material Design to optimize for the Android platform and our customer’s expectations.”
